I stream things now…
TL;DR – You can check out my channel for streaming here: Mixer.com/SamUtari
Well, I have to say that this is my first time starting a blog with a shameless plug! So Happy New Year? It has been awhile since I made a good “updates” blog…so now would be a good time, right?
As some of you might know, I have a YouTube Channel (outside of my Furry one) where I play random series of games (mostly Guild Wars and GW2 with the occasional opinion-related vid on a different game). I used to be pretty active on it, but, it never took off…so it doesn’t get the attention it should. Still, doing YouTube always had me curious about streaming…but the idea was always so daunting for multiple reasons:
- I only have a small laptop.
- I don’t have a microphone.
- I do not have a webcam let alone a good camera.
- I am not tech savvy by any means!
- I have very low self-esteem.
I have always been told that I am funny, talented, entertaining (blah, blah, blah)- but I don’t believe a word of it. But, I was always told that streaming would suit me…and so I decided to give it a shot in 2020. Luckily, my bestie (HurtfulG on Mixer) had also started her streaming journey (and currently has over 350+ followers on Mixer) so she helped me with some UI things, banner sizes, and all that. I’m still not 100% confident, and I def don’t have a streaming schedule…but yeah, I’m getting there.
So far I have been doing co-streams of Dead-by-Daylight, Minecraft, and etc. I have done one-shot streams of My Time at Portia and Warframe (will probs do more streams of those games in the future). My main series right now seem to be Borderlands (which I play with my wife) and Fallout 76.
But yeah, it has been an adventure. I’m currently sitting at only 28 followers (next follower goal is 50). I’m still trying to find my balance as I try to make a more solid streaming schedule that doesn’t clash with my friends or real life obligations. I have decided that I am going to be chopping up my streams and placing them on YouTube. So maybe my channel will become more active.
My ultimate goal is that hopefully, over time, I can build more of a following and work to get better set-ups as far as things like a quality mic, an actual PC, and even better editing software. But for now, it’s just one goal at a time.
But this doesn’t mean that I have forgotten about this blog! I have actually been working on some articles (believe it or not), and I do have some exciting things to share with you guys! These things include:
- The return of Sunny & Moony (Discussion or Review)
- Hot Twitter Topic on new TFF policy
- More Gaming Furs articles
The creator of Sunny & Moony did reach out to me, and I’m excited to check out the revival of their series. Also…while I wanted to try and cover more light-hearted Furry News, the real stuff I want to cover is not very nice and does require a lot of delicate handling (thus how long I have been taking to get them out there). I would love to going back and doing Furry Highlights again (since I have a ton of them saved on my old laptop), and if I can get all those done, I might even start up interviews again.
So yeah…the plans are there. The real problem is motivating myself to try and do the work.
Anyways, that’s all I got for now! If you head to Mixer and give me a follow, I would greatly appreciate it! Also, thanks so much to those that stick around and support this blog! Hopefully I will see you all in the next entry/article/review! 😀
